to do assignments.

Please note that this is just a preview of a school assignment posted on our website by one of our clients. If you need assistance with this question too, please click on the Order button at the bottom of the page to get started. This link goes to a YouTube page where some kind soul has published the Audible version of the They Say, I Say 3rd Edition. While the 3rd edition is NOT the appropriate edition for our course, this link is useful for those of you who struggle with reading and prefer to listen, but didn’t buy the eBook for use this semester. Whether you listen here, or read on your own from our textbook, you must understand and be prepared to demonstrate your use of the techniques and templates from Chapters 1-3 when you work on. Choose, read, and annotate ONE to of the following articles. The article you choose is the one you will use to complete the WA1 Planning Worksheet and Writing Assignment 1. • “On the Front Lines of a New Culture War” by Steve Kolowich (398-419 in They Say, I Say 4th Edition with Readings) Kolowich is a full-time editor at the Washington Post. He worked for six years as a feature writer covering college campuses for The Chronicle of Higher Education (where this article was first published). Kolowich has also worked at Inside Higher Ed and has freelanced for Slate, Deadspin and Washington City Paper. This 2017 article, which examines the effect of the 2016 U.S. presidential election won by Donald Trump through the lens of young Somalian college students in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Kolowich argues that while a college degree may offer these Somali students opportunities that would lift them out of the nonwhite working class, the degree won’t necessarily ensure that they will be free “to speak for themselves, and no one else” (401). Please use simple words like a smart student but in his first semester of college, thank you. I will be working with the same professor who makes this first draft for the rest of the semester!! so please make it worth 🙂
