Based on your research, identify and analyze a human rights issue in your novel and show how it relates to real-life issues and affects people within the United States and one other country.
The novel I was told to analyze was “Of Mice and Men”
I chose to talk about how Lennie a main character was affected by mental illness, this was the human right issue I decided to write my essay about.
I have to analyze and see how mental health relates to real life issues and affects people in the US and the other country I chose was India. They both have high rates of mental illness.
I have some sources for reference that I need to include in my essay as part of my supporting evidence. It could be any information that may be relevant for the essay

Introduction Paragraph is:
“Sometimes the people around you won’t understand your journey. They don’t need to; it’s not for them.” This quote written by Joubert Batha reflects many situations that people have to deal with every day, especially those who are criticized because they don’t look “normal.” People that are affected by any mental illness are the ones that have suffered the most throughout history. There is no such a thing as “normal” we are all different, with only one thing in common for sure; we are all humans. The United States and India are listed as countries with the highest rates of people suffering from mental problems. Mental awareness should be taken more seriously into American and Indian society, people who suffer from this illness should be able to receive proper treatment and support.
